Welcome
Welcome to the website of the Sgt Maj John Champe Chapter, Virginia Society Sons of the American Revolution. We are named for a true American Hero, a man who volunteered to attempt the capture of traitor Benedict Arnold when asked by General George Washington.
Re-Chartered in February 2022, we are a very active and growing chapter. In our first year we were selected as the Best Medium Sized Chapter in Virginia SAR. Each year we commemorate historic events specific to Loudoun County, mark the graves of Patriots buried in Loudoun County, every year we memorialize our namesake, John Champe, celebrate National events such as Independence Day, , recognize superior performing First Responders, work with youth in all age groups, and sponsor a Loudoun County based Children of the American Revolution Society. And, we do much, much, more.
If you want to join our Society please view the Membership tab and link to the Registrar. You must be a blood-line descendant of a man or woman who provided acceptable Revolutionary Service. That service need not be limited to military service but includes a wide variety of service in support of the cause of the Revolution.
We hope you enjoy your tour of our website, complete with photos and videos, as we bring you the stories about what we do.
